Foxtail Palm
A Foxtail palm is one of the most spectacular palm trees. A Foxtail palm tree has a canopy of about 10 pinnate, foxtail looking fronds and ringed, slender, white trunk.
Naturally a Foxtail palm grows in northeastern Australia. Over there this palm is listed as a thresatened species. Howevever, Foxtail palms have become recently very popular ornamentals in tropical and subtropical regions.It can be used along or in groups of three or more or may be planted along streets and driveways.
A Foxtail palm is easy to grow, but it doesn’t tolerate frost. It will turn brown and dry. A King palm has to be protected from freezing conditions.
